Job Responsibilities

Dr. Britt Helmbrecht teaches courses related to fitness, wellness, and health education including Personal Health and Wellness, Fitness Activities, Group Fitness Instruction, Health Topics, and Community and Environmental Health. She also teaches the Sports Reporters Capstone course and has previously taught Sports Officiating, Advanced Fitness Activities, and Team Sports Activities.
Dr. Helmbrecht is involved in various academic committees and wellness activities on campus and also serves as the Faculty Athletics Representative. Her role includes advising students within her academic program and helping students make a connection to campus.

Research & Professional Interests

My research and professional interests include student well-being including the study and use of stress management strategies. I am also interested in fitness, wellness, and advocating for student success. I am also interested in outdoor recreation and finding ways to fund and build non-motorized recreational trails in Northwest Nebraska.
