Accessing Counseling & Medical Services

Chadron State College offers counseling and medical services to all students, free of additional charge. To schedule an appointment with a Counselor please call 308-432-6232. You may also schedule directly with a counselor in their bio below. Students are welcome to walk in for health services but must understand that a professional may not be available in the immediate. If it is your first visit, please see the information below.

Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Nurse Hours - while classes are in session

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Adjustment to college life
  • Alcohol and/or drug-related concerns
  • Grief
  • Human sexuality
  • Interpersonal relationships
  • Mental health
  • Stress management

The CSC Campus Clinic Nurse provides treatments including

  • Albuterol treatments
  • Glucometer checks
  • Medical equipment loans (crutches, ice/hot packs, wheelchair, etc.)
  • Over-the-counter medications
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Scheduling of doctor appointments when necessary
  • Staple and suture removal
  • Testing for COVID, Fever, Influenza, Mono, & Strep
  • Treatments for minor illnesses and injuries

The Medical Assistant provides treatments including

  • Follow-up care with students from the Nurse
  • Information about local health resources
  • Management of required CSC immunization records and health forms
  • Scheduling of appointments with the Nurse and Counselors
